KAB. SUBANG - West Java Governor Ahmad Heryawan (Aher) directly observed the location of the flash flood in Kampung Cihideung, Sukakerti Village, District Cisalak, Subang regency, on Thursday (05/26/2016). Aher also requested that residents in Kampung Cihideung settlements are examined by geologists to determine the feasibility of the location as a residential area.
 

This is done in accordance with the wishes of the residents of the village. They do not want to be relocated and want to rebuild homes that have been destroyed because of this flood disaster. However, Aher said that the citizens desire to be accommodated on the condition that the location of this Cihideung Kampung worthy to serve residential areas.
 

"Of course the future also we will rehabilitate their homes by first asking for assistance to the Geological Agency to check pertanahannya. If there are cracks and otherwise allow course earlier I asked Plt. Regent Subang to immediately find replacement land," said Aher.
 

On this occasion, Aher also had a chance to review the refugees in the village hall. Most residents claimed traumatized by the incident flood that occurred around 21:00 pm on a Sunday night (5/22/2016) ago.
 

"Hopefully we can mitigate the disaster by quickly. Then it could rehabilitate mental or trauma Hilling residents there. Earlier I talked with the residents they say trauma, perhaps for two months they will remember and hold (flood disaster)," said Aher.
 

West Java Provincial Government will continue to encourage mitigation, one of them by directing people - particularly those living in disaster-prone areas in order to escape from the area.
 

"Avalanche is nature, meaning that the original properties of the soil. So God created it. Well, the important thing is how we lead people to avoid places these landslides," said Aher.
 

As a result of this disaster six people died, six homes were severely damaged, and dozens of other houses were slightly damaged. Cihideung own village inhabited by 116 heads of households with 388 residents. At present, for their temporary refuge in the village hall as well as in the homes of citizens who are not affected by this flood.


Plt. Subang Regent Imas Aryumningsih said flash floods have occurred due to landslides. However, he admitted that the landslide occurred not due to rampant felling of trees in the forest area. Imas explained that the disaster occurred because the land in the area that is prone to landslides. Landslides are then restrained by the fallen tree, thus blocking the flow of water and then the water hit residential areas.

On this occasion, the West Java provincial government was providing assistance to the victims of flood disasters this. Assistance is provided in the form of rice and various kinds of instant food, mineral water, generators, water suction machines, and other building equipment, blankets, towels, feminine hygiene and baby purposes. There was also assistance from the Food Security Jabar as many as 3,930 kg of rice and help from BNPB form of family kits, medical equipment, children's clothes, nutritional supplements, side dishes and prepared foods.
