BANDUNG - Indonesia's financial literacy nationwide survey conducted by the Financial Services Authority (FSA) in 2013, states that the level of literacy or community understanding of financial products and services is very low at around 21.8%, is inversely proportional to the use of products and financial services by people who are quite high at around 60%. This reflects that the financial community access to the financial industry has not been open optimally.
It is influenced by the lack of reference the public about financial services, low income communities, cultural factors, the complexity of administrative requirements in the use of financial services, financial products do not fit the needs of the community and the high cost and the role of the financial industry is not optimal on the progress of the development process in the region effect on the level of welfare.
By going to the West Java provincial government formed a team of Regional Financial Access Acceleration (TPAKD) Jabar, consisting of the Secretary of West Java, West Java II Regional FSA, Bank Jabar, the financial industry in West Java, the Financial Services Association and academia.
West Java Governor Ahmad Heryawan (Aher) after confirming TPAKD Jabar at Gedung Sate, on Thursday (03.24.16), said the establishment of this TPAKD it will encourage the availability of financial access for the widest possible public, especially for SMEs. "People are going to build the business world it usually does not know how to access financial services, with this team they would later have an idea and want to borrow funds for their capital," said Aher who also coaches TPAKD Jabar.
Task TPAKD include providing financial access to the widest community in supporting the regional economy, encouraging financial institutions in order to increase its role in economic development in the area, digging the regional economic potential that can be developed by using the products and financial services, encourage optimization potential sources of funds in expanding the provision of financing productive to develop SMEs or pioneering effort.
"It also will help our program is to score 100 thousand entrepreneurs who need access to the bank's capital," said Aher.
