BANDUNG - West Java Governor Ahmad Heryawan (Aher) handed SK Minister of Internal Affairs of Dismissal Regent Sumedang, West Java Province to the Vice Regent Eka Setiawan at Gedung Sate, on Monday (03.28.16) morning.

Decree of the Minister of Interior of the Republic of Indonesia No. 131.32-971 Year 2016 in addition to dismiss Ade Irawan from his position as Regent Sumedang, also appointed Vice Regent Eka Setiawan to perform the duties and authority of the Regent Sumedang until sworn in as regent Sumedang in the remainder of the term of 2013-2018.

Decision  Minister's set out in Jakarta on March 14, 2016 and signed by Minister of Internal Affairs RI Tjahjo Kumolo.

"The letter stated the dismissal of Interior Minister Ade Irawan as Regent Sumedang, also simultaneously confirms Acting or Interim Sumedang Regent and Vice Regent Sumedang commissioned Mr. Eka Setiawan as Acting Regent of Sumedang," said Ahmad Heryawan after the submission of the letter.

The governor said, DPRD Sumedang Regency promptly process became regent definitive and also soon choose a Vice Regent of Sumedang definitive.

Mentioned as a consideration in the decision letter, Ade Irawan has been proven legally and convincingly guilty of committing corruption together and continue and imposed imprisonment for two years. He was also fined Rp 50 million, based on the Decision of the Corruption Court in the District Court of the First Class-A Special Bandung No. 133 / Pid.Sus / TPK / 2015 / PN.Bdg November 23, 2015.

This court decision is a basic dismissal Ade Irawan in accordance with Law No. 23 Year 2014 on Regional Government Article 83 which stipulates that the head region and / or deputy regional head dismissed without going through the proposal of Parliament if there is evidence of a criminal act referred to in paragraph (1) (corruption, etc.) based on a court decision which has permanent legal power ,
