BANDUNG - West Java Governor Ahmad Heryawan (Aher) on Wednesday (03/23/2016), inaugurated the Regent and Vice Regent Tasikmalaya period 2016-2021 Unison 2015 election results, Uu Ruzhanul Ulum and Ade Sugianto, in the West Hall, Gedung Sate, Bandung.

This inauguration is based on the Minister of Home Affairs No. 131.32-996 and No. 131.32-997 2016, set out in Jakarta on March 15, 2016 and signed by Interior Minister Tjahjo Kumolo.


Governor in his speech appreciated the improvement of the quality of human resources in Tasikmalaya marked with the achievements of the Human Development Index (HDI) District. Tasikmalaya successfully improved from 72.18 points in 2011 to 74.01 points in 2015 based on preliminary figures.

 

"Covering Education Index by 82.82 points, Healthcare index by 72.81 points, and the Purchasing Power Index by 66.41 points," he said.


"In the aspect of strengthening the competitiveness of the regional economy, I appreciate a number of positive achievements were successfully realized by the District Government of Tasikmalaya, among which an increase in the GDP (at current prices) significantly, from Rp 15.85 trillion in 2011 to Rp 23 , 42 trillion by 2015, "said Aher.

Aher, at the inauguration emphasize three things. Among them, there should be a reduction in poverty, unemployment reduction, environmental sustainability and preservation.

According to him, no matter how great the existing development, but has no effect on the reduction of poverty and unemployment, there must be a problem in the development.

By not paying attention to poverty and unemployment, the existing development will actually lead to social inequality.
