INILAHKORAN, Bandung - Head of the West Java Investment and One-Stop Integrated Services (DPMPTSP) Department, Nining Yuliastiani, predicts that the investment realization target in 2024 could reach IDR 250 trillion.

Nining said that in fact the central government had not yet conveyed the targets for each province for 2024 regarding investment realization.

However, Nining said, if you look at 2023. Where it is possible that West Java will be charged with the same percentage target, then the figure will clearly increase from IDR 188 trillion in 2023, to IDR 250 trillion this year.

"We haven't (received the target). In 2023, the (national) target was IDR 1,400 trillion, we got a share of IDR 188 trillion. Around 14 percent. This year (the central government is targeting) IDR 1,650 trillion. If positioned the same, around IDR 250 trillion (target "West Java investment realization will be in 2024). But we don't have the predictions yet," said Nining in Bandung City recently.

In 2023, from January to September investment in West Java was dominated by foreign investment (PMA) around 60 percent and domestic investment (PMDN) around 39 percent. The largest investment point is Bekasi Regency amounting to IDR 41.5 trillion, then Karawang Regency IDR 35.1 trillion, Bogor Regency IDR 12 trillion, Purwakarta Regency IDR 10.7 trillion and Bekasi City IDR 8.6 trillion.

There are five sectors that investors are interested in, namely transportation, warehouse and communications worth IDR 28.8 trillion. The investment sector for housing, industrial areas and offices is IDR 19.5 trillion. Metal machinery and electronics industry sector IDR 16.2 trillion. Motor vehicle and other means of transportation industry with an investment value of IDR 15.8 trillion.

With this achievement, labor absorption from January-September 2023 was 192,414 people, with details of 96,680 workers absorbed in PMA investment and 95,734 workers absorbed in PMDN investment.
