Cirebon (ANTARA) - The Representative Office of Bank Indonesia (BI) Cirebon, West Java, recorded that investment achievements in its region which includes Cirebon, Indramayu, Majalengka and Kuningan (Ciayumajakuning) have been realized up to 85.2 percent of the target of IDR 10.78 trillion in 2023.

"Ciayumajakuning's investment target in 2023 is IDR 10.78 trillion and 85.2 percent of the realization target has been achieved," said Head of KPw BI Cirebon Hestu Wibowo when met in Cirebon, Thursday.

Hestu said that the percentage of investment realization was sourced from data from the Ciayumajakuning One Stop Investment and Integrated Services Service (DPMPTSP), which was collected up to the third quarter of 2023.

Based on this data, he said, investment in Ciayumajakuning grew consistently and contributed 5.74 percent to the existing capital investment target in West Java.

"West Java is the province with the largest level of investment nationally, Ciayumajakuning contributed 5.74 percent. "I think this is a positive contribution," he said.

Hestu revealed that if detailed from the data, the share of domestic investment (PMDN) in Ciayumajakuning showed quite good performance with the most dominant investment sector being in the mining sector at around 45.91 percent.

Then, the food crops and plantations sector in Ciayumajakuning ranks second as an investment sector that is quite popular with PMDN with a figure of 17.68 percent.

In next place, said Hestu, PMDN in Ciayumajakuning also invested in the non-metallic mineral industry at around 12.51 percent, trade and repairs at 8.53 percent and other sectors at 15.37 percent.

"We at Ciayumajakuning always coordinate with the regional government on how to make it easier for investors to invest," he said.

Still referring to similar data, Hestu said that the share of foreign investment (PMA) in Ciayumajakuning was dominated by investment activities in the basic chemical industry, chemical goods and pharmaceuticals with a figure of 61.98 percent.

Meanwhile, for the remainder, PMA in Ciayumajakuning invested around 13.85 percent in the food crops and plantation sector, mining at 11.19 percent, the food industry at 3.46 percent and other fields around 9.51 percent.

He emphasized that in order for the rate of investment in Ciayumajakuning to grow consistently, there needs to be policies to make it easier for investors to invest, for example with licensing efficiency.

Hestu assesses that all supporting facilities to grow the investor sector in Ciayumajakuning are well available, so that the realization of capital investment will be achieved by the end of 2023.

"The rate of investment in Ciayumajakuning will continue to grow positively until the end of 2023," he said.
